Join design curator Murray Moss and RISD president Rosanne Somerson for a conversation about the legacy of the Bauahus — the 20th century’s most influential school of art and design — as it relates to design and art education today, particularly at the Rhode Island School of Design.

Tickets - $50, includes tour of site and reception.

Note that tickets are required for admission to the house, and access to the site is via tour only. 

By train: Take the Metro North New Haven Line from Grand Central Terminal to the New Canaan train station. The Visitor Center is located across the street from the New Canaan train station. Please note that you may need to transfer trains in Stamford, CT to the New Canaan extension line during off-peak hours.

By car: Hutchinson River Parkway North to Merritt Parkway CT Rt. 15 North toward New Haven.  Exit 37 (New Canaan, Darien, Rt. 124).  Turn left onto South Avenue (Rt. 124) and proceed two miles to the New Canaan town center.  Turn left onto Elm Street.  The Visitor Center is located at 199 Elm Street. Alternatively, you can take I-95 North to Exit 11 (Darien / Rowayton).  Turn left onto Boston Post Rd / Rt. 1.  Turn left onto Mansfield Avenue and proceed five miles north to the New Canaan town center.  (Please note that Mansfield Avenue becomes South Avenue upon entering New Canaan).  Turn left onto Elm Street.  The Visitor Center is located at 199 Elm Street. Approximately one hour by car from NYC.
