Speaker: Pat Bosch, Assoc. AIA, LEED AP BD+C, Founding Partner, Perkins and Will Miami

Pat Bosch is a founding partner of the Miami office of Perkins and Will since 1996 and leads the office as its Design Director. Internationally recognized for her design acumen and collaborative work style, Bosch routinely brings together diverse groups of stakeholders to generate ideas and find common ground; design solutions emerge out of the strong partnerships she builds with her clients. Bosch takes a humanistic and environmentally responsible approach to design that is supported by research and meticulously executed process. She combines edgy creativity with a careful examination of every project’s program, context, region, and local culture to produce design solutions so innovative that they consistently challenge the status quo.

Her work has been honored with several national and international design awards, and has been featured in architectural magazines and industry journals around the world. Notable projects include the American Express America’s Headquarters in Sunrise, Florida; Princess Nora bint Abdulrahman University for Women in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; The Greater Accra Regional Hospital at Ridge in Accra, Ghana; the L’Oréal Research & Innovation Center in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; and the Miami Dade College Academic Support Center in Miami, Florida. She is currently working on the Corporate Headquarters for the largest renewable energy company in the country, several University Student Housing projects, and the Hebrew Institute in Santiago, Chile.

The strength of Bosch’s design portfolio has made her a sought-after contributor to global forums, councils, commissions, and other architectural think tanks. Bosch brings a multicultural, multinational perspective to her practice. Her fluency in four languages and ability to empathize with codes, customs, and beliefs sets around the globe – from the Americas and Europe to the Middle East and Africa – have allowed her to thrive in a variety of environments with a diversity of clientele. Her distinctive style and design approach were shaped in many ways by her early career experiences at high-profile firms like Richard Meier and Partners and Steven Holl Architects, and by academic mentors at Columbia University and ETH Zurich.
