During the Design Career Fair, teens, young adults, and emerging designers with Autism and other forms of neurodiversity are invited to speak with designers and creative companies about future professional opportunities and inclusive hiring programs. Participants will learn about design careers, important skillsets to develop, and next steps for landing a role.

ABOUT NATIONAL DESIGN WEEK

Launched in 2006, National Design Week is held each year in conjunction with the National Design Awards program. In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the National Design Awards, Cooper Hewitt will offer free admission to all museum visitors during National Design Week (October 12–19, 2019), courtesy of Target, and will host a series of free education programs broadening access to the vision and work of the country’s design leaders, inspiring people of all ages to engage with design and design thinking.
