Opened in 2012, the Diane H. and Joseph S. Steinberg Visitor Center seamlessly melds architecture and landscape. Designed by Weiss/Manfredi, the Visitor Center has earned LEED Gold certification, and has won over 20 major design awards. Tour guests will have a chance to learn more about the Visitor Center’s energy-efficient design, including earth-sheltered construction, a geoexchange system for heating and cooling, a living roof, and fritted-glass walls.
